Grievance Procedures

Overview
An employer is under a legal duty to give new employees details about his Grievance Procedure in the written Statement of Particulars or Contract of Employment.

Moreover a Grievance Procedure should conform to the recommendations of the ACAS Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures.

It must be remembered too, that under the terms of the Code, an employee has the right to be accompanied to a Grievance Hearing by a work colleague or trade union official of their choice.

It is an implied condition of employment that a company must have a Grievance Procedure, which employees may rely upon to have a grievance dealt with.

How We Can Help You
We can draw up a Grievance Procedure that will conform to the Code of Practice and which is designed to match the management structure of the company. Senior management will be closely consulted with throughout.

Cost
The cost is £50 (ex VAT), payable in advance.
